about arianna

Arianna Barrios is an Orange native and a product of the Orange Unified School District. A graduate of Orange High School, her two children attend district schools where she and her husband, Brian Lochrie, are active volunteers. Service is a legacy for Barrios whose father, Russ, served as an OUSD School Board Trustee for eight years and grandfather, Cruz, was one of the driving forces behind the 1947 Mendez v. Westminster case that ended segregation in California and was the forerunner for Brown v. Board of Education.

As the President and founder of Barrios & Associates, a marketing and communications consulting firm, Arianna is a member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce. Her vast management experience has allowed her to work with some of the nation’s most innovative companies and create a thriving consulting business located in Orange.

As a community volunteer, Barrios is the President of the YWCA Central Orange County and serves on the board of directors for both the Orange Community Foundation and the Pitcher Park Foundation. She is an active volunteer and can be found each Labor Day Weekend working at booths for charity. She also sits on the Palmyra Elementary School Site Council which proudly became a California Distinguished School this year and where her two sons attend school.

As a businesswoman, Arianna understands the importance of fiscal responsibility, collaborative partnerships and creative problem solving to ensure that our precious tax dollars benefit the students and the schools. While Barrios passionately supports the arts in education, she maintains a steadfast priority focused on the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. By developing a stronger partnership between parents, teachers and students, we can improve the academic performances of our schools and create a new generation of community leaders.
